TSgt Brian Webster receives President Service Award
TSgt Brian Webster received the Presidential Service Award for his work with Hearts Across the Miles.
In Brian's speech he said, "First, I'd like to thank the President and the Freedom Core Office for affording me this recognition. This is an honor for me, not only as an American, but because he's my Commander in Chief. This achievement is not only for myself and my family, but for Team Buckley, Hearts Across the Miles, all our volunteers, and our mission which supports our deployed troops and their families.
We need to remember our deployed servicemen and women for the sacrifices they are making for our freedom. They need to know that the country they are serving supports them.
Hearts Across the Miles is an all volunteer, non-profit that supports the deployed troops and their families. It's our hope, that with community support, no one will ever go to mail call and feel forgotten. In addition, Hearts is a vehicle for the community to support the troops. Many people do not know a serviceman or woman, but want to write letters or send packages. Hearts exists to be that connection.
Again, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. I'm extremely honored to be here today representing Hearts Across the Miles."
